Lots to do!

So countdown to wedding is 134 days! And I have a lot to do. I have started all these DIY projects, but I have not finished a one of them! So that is my plan this weekend....to finish at least 1 thing on my list of to-do's.

Here is my to-do list (Just for now, it will get longer):
- Find vases for centerpieces
- Glue lace around candles for tables(DIY)
- Programs (Im making them)
- Find and old mailbox
- Finish Guest Book cards (making them)
- Favor bags (Yup making those too)
- Start addressing wedding invitations
- Figure out songs for the ceremony, first dance, father-daughter, mother-son, and songs for the reception
- Call the church and book Pastor
- Bridesmaids details such as jewelry, hair and makeup
- Registries

Who knew that registering would be so hard. I think that has been the hardest thing so far. I thought it would be really fun, but it is actually quite stressful and I do not enjoy doing it.

So hopefully I can knock a few of these out this weekend! Wish me luck!

Halfway there

I have decided to start a blog....again. Hopefully things will go better this time than the last and I will keep up with this one. I watched Julia & Julia this weekend and it got me pumped up about blogging. I want to keep everyone up to date on all the wedding details, as well as other things.

We are halfway there. To the wedding day that is, and I could not be more excited! I feel like yesterday me and Matt got engaged, and I was looking 10 months down the road to September. It seemed so far away. But not anymore. We have just a little over 4 months to go. And it is time to kick wedding planning in high gear!

I must say we have gotten a lot done, but I feel like there is so much more to do! I have not had a wedding-planning breakdown yet, and hopefully I wont have one. I did however get a bit stressed yesterday with the wedding invitations. They were shipped last week, so everyday I would track the package and see where it was at. The estimated delivery time was May 3, so all day yesterday I was waiting for them. Our usual FedEx guy came by after lunch, I rushed to the door but to my amazement there was no box for me. So I ran back to the computer and checked the status one more time. It said it was on a FedEx truck here in Houston and was supposed to be dropped off. As time got closer to leave work, I started to stress. Actually I was being selfish and wanted the invitations right away!

When it was time to leave for work, I got in my car disappointed and frustrated with FedEx. As I pulled out of the driveway...guess what...here comes the FedEx truck. I rolled down my window and waved him down like a crazy woman. "Do you have a package for Hollie?" I asked, and he said yes and that he was trying to hurry to get here because he knew we closed early. I pulled back into the parking lot and all of my co-workers were staring at me. I was jumping around and smiling. I was very excited! I could not wait to see what they looked like.

When I opened the box, I started crying. They were beautiful! Simple but beautiful.

Reading it made me cry even more.

Mr. and Mrs.....
request the honor of your presence at the marriage of their daughter Hollie to Matt.

Wow, I am really getting married! I am getting to spend the rest of my life with the man I love!
